Emergency Management Training
The Public Safety Institute provides training or "platforms" for personnel involved in emergency preparedness and management for terrorism or catastrophic events, including those involved in law enforcement, emergency medical services, fire service, hazardous materials, public works, administrative government, public safety communications, health care, and public health. Training in emergency preparedness and management is provided in order to prevent, prepare for, and handle events that threaten our homeland security.
PSI provides the means to conduct training sessions at locales across the region on days that these individuals can attend without sacrificing time away from career and family commitments. PSI provides of instructors through partnerships paid through grant funding, arranges for and secures the training site, provides equipment for presentations/training, and schedules all phases of sessions.
